Welcome to our school

"Pupils are happy, feel safe and are proud to be part of this inclusive and welcoming school. The school’s Christian values of ‘love, trust, forgiveness and hope’ underpin daily life and help create a caring community where pupils feel valued and respected.

Pupils enjoy learning and engage positively in lessons. They speak enthusiastically about their learning and wider experiences. Classrooms are purposeful environments where learning is valued. A range of clubs, educational visits and leadership opportunities enrich pupils’ experiences and help them develop independence, responsibility and resilience. These opportunities broaden pupils’ horizons and contribute positively to their personal development."

OFSTED Inspection Report; September 2026

"Micheldever School is a place of welcome and belonging. It has an inclusive heart, which drives and deepens the quality of relationships and wider partnerships. This culture of acceptance results in pupils and adults being nurtured. The Christian vision is rooted in the needs of the school’s richly diverse community. Values of love, trust, forgiveness and hope are lived out. This ensures that pupils and adults flourish."

SIAMS Inspection Report; March 2026

Micheldever Church of England Primary School lies in the Dever Valley; a small, friendly church school in the heart of the village of Micheldever. We are part of The Dever Valley Federation along with Barton Stacey C of E Primary School.

We are a successful Church of England (Controlled) Primary School with around eighty children, organised over four mixed-age classes. This helps to give our school the warm, friendly, family-feel that our families value. We know our children extremely well and treat them with respect as unique individuals. As a small school, we are able to provide our children with a caring and nurturing environment with a strong Christian ethos.

Our Christian values of Love, Trust, Hope and Forgiveness are intrinsic to daily life in our school. These values are closely linked to the school motto of ‘Growing, Learning and Succeeding Together' and this makes clear our commitment to high quality learning and attainment, supported by our Vision & Values Statement.

Our most recent OFSTED inspection took place in September 2026. We are very proud of our report and the strengths identified within it. Please click here to read the inspection report.
